What is it?

Clockify is a time-tracking and timesheet app that allows individuals, teams, and organisations to track how much time is spent on a particular task, on a project, or for a specific client. The app is available on every platform and we have been using it on iOS and Mac desktop.

The app is free to download and use for an unlimited number of users. Of course, there are paid elements to it but so far, we haven’t needed to explore that deeply as the free version is so comprehensive.

How does it work?

Installation on both platforms was quick and easy and as soon as the app was launched, one can start tracking time by clicking a play button. The experience has been intuitively simple and it’s not an inconvenience to start tracking time.

Clockify reports (accessed via a web browser) can either be summaries of a day/week/project/client etc, or you can explore a detailed analysis of your data of choice. Review any period in time, study particular clients, projects, teams, whatever you see fit, the data is available to be downloaded in several formats, printed direct fro the screen, or saved for viewing later.

How does it function?

Very well – we cannot praise this app enough. In the weeks that we’ve been using it, Clockify has helped the team become more time-aware, more disciplined, and generally more conscious of how we spend the working day. Yes, remembering to turn the tracker on at the start of a task hasn’t come naturally to all of us, yet, and some of the team do forget, but this is hardly an issue to cause us concern as the team are quickly getting into the habit.
